How to Replace your Sanyo Projector Lamp
Replacing a Sanyo projector lamp is a very straightforward and simple procedure. You should consult your Sanyo projector user manual for correct instructions when you wish to change your lamp. We recommend you purchase original (OEM) replacement lamps as aftermarket alternatives (although lower in price) are not always reliable and may void your product warranty if they cause damage to your projector.
The replacement of your Sanyo lamp is relatively simple and only involves a few steps, which should take around 5 minutes to perform providing you have the correct tools. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver and a non-abrasive cleaning cloth - Micro-fibre cleaning cloths are recommended.
- Ensure that your Sanyo projector is turned off, the power cord is removed and your projector is cool.
- Remove the Sanyo lamp compartment door, which is located on the rear of your projector, by firstly removing the Phillips screws.
- Remove the Sanyo lamp by carefully pulling the lamp out from the compartment. Detach any power cords connected to the lamp assembly (if present).
- Carefully clean any loose dust from the lamp compartment using the cleaning cloth.
- Carefully reconnect any power cables (if present) to your replacement Sanyo lamp and then insert the lamp into the compartment the same way the original Sanyo lamp was removed making sure you do not touch the bulb with your fingers.
- Replace the Sanyo lamp compartment door back into place then fasten closed with the original screws.
- Connect the power cord to your Sanyo projector then following the instructions in your projector user manual reset the lamp timers.
