Sanyo projector lamps can be expensive to replace, therefore it is important you know how to look after your lamp in order to prolong and maximise its life.
There are a number of ways to increase the working hours that your projector lamp and following the tips below should ensure you maximise the life expectancy and productivity of not only your lamp but also your projector itself.
- Allow your projector lamp to cool.
When you turn off your projector, the lamp will be very hot. Usually when you power off your projector the fan will continue to run for several minutes in order to cool down the lamp. You should wait for the fan to stop operating before disconnecting the power cord. - Do not move or put away the projector whilst it is still warm.
You should not move your Sanyo projector whilst the lamp is still hot as the lamp is very sensitive and any bumps or shakes could cause the lamp to burst. - Reduce the brightness of your projector lamp.
Your Sanyo projector comes with several power settings that enable you to decrease the brightness of the lamp. You can increase your lamps productivity and lifespan by choosing a lower brightness as less electricity will be used to power the lamp. - Regularly clean and replace the air filter.

If you do not maintain your air filter as instructed by your manual, the life of your lamp could reduce as dirt and dust build up in the filter will reduce the amount of airflow directed to the lamp to keep it cool. - Maximise ventilation whilst in use.
